“God couldn’t be everywhere so He created mothers.”
This week we remember that mothers are a gift from God. We learn so much from the role modelling and care that our mothers give us and we give thanks to God for their love in our lives. To all our mothers and mother figures in our school community thank you for who you are and all you do.
On Friday 6 May we celebrated Mothers’ Day with our mums, grandmothers and aunties.
We started the day off with a Pancake Breakfast that was cooked and prepared by St Francis staff. After breakfast families and friends were invited to attend a special Mothers’ Day liturgy in the hall. Following the liturgy the Parent Group sold Mothers’ Day gifts in the hall.

Thank you to the Parent Group for organising the Mothers’ Day stall. It is most appreciated. In particular thanks to Lena and Kaylene for organising the purchase of the gifts and also to Natasha Griffiths, Christy Lukic, Natasha Soulsby, Michelle Jansen, Elaine Scibberas, Alecia Kemp, Lisa Clarke and Rina Enriquez. Also to Liz Price and family for the donation of books.
